What is one of the essential parts of a good design, which contains writings? Of course it is the font or in broader sense (and fancier term) the 'typography'. Typography is basically the combination of font, size, spacing, and color. So the million dollar question is : can typography really define the mood? The design group from Behance network created 18 new fonts (from ornamentation to the graphics in the style of post-modern-art 20-30s). We chose few which impressed us the most.

Don't be afraid to experiment with fonts and even to invent new font types. For example German designer Jose Ernesto Rodriguez (José Ernesto Rodriguez) with Spanish roots, living in Berlin designed his own Handmade font (Handschrift). For creation of any sign or letter of the alphabet, he used a photocopy of their fingers and hands, made by copymachine. This guy definitely made it easier for police to get him ;-)
No doubt that the company which has succeded with font related design is Google with its Google Doodles. Google has posted more than 1000 doodles over the last 10 years! Isn't that incredible?! Here are just few of their famous doodles. Take a look at how the same word changes it's "mood" from mistery to sentiment, from advertures to excitment due to diffeent design.
